Peel House Contractors have begun to undertake the refurbishment of the brand new Suburban Style Bar located within the prestigious new Gateway development in Leeds city centre.

The Gateway, located at the eastern end of The Calls is a city centre mixed-use scheme comprising 642 residential apartments, a 218-bed hotel, offices, bars, restaurants and creche facility which will contribute to regenerating what was a former industrial site. The 15-storey complex which has been designed by Carey Jones Architects, valued at £75m, is expected to be completed in 2008.

The Suburban Style Bar Company are a west yorkshire pub company who operate 5 bars and bistros in the Leeds and Bradford area and are currently negotiating the leases on new sites within the Leeds Gateway deveopment and in Ilkley. Established in 2000, their aim is to offer to the suburbs the same kind of upmarket drinking experience that was available in the city centres, while also being a good quality local.
