Peel House Contractors are progressing ahead of schedule on refurbishment works at the Suburban Style Bar, The Gateway. The contract is now expected to be fully complete within 10 weeks, a full 4 weeks ahead of schedule. Our aim is to always have a clear commitment to deliver a quality refurbishment to deadline and within budget and we are delighted that this aim will once again be upheld on this project.

The cafe/bar will be the first city centre venue for the Suburban Style Bar group and will become the company’s flagship venue. They have invested £750,000 into the venture which will be housed underneath the nine-storey Accor Etap Hotel within the Gateway development, a city centre mixed-use scheme located at the eastern end of The Calls, comprising 642 residential apartments, a 218-bed hotel, offices, bars and restaurants..

When complete, the new bar will create around 35 full and part-time jobs, and the 4,200 sq ft (768 sq m) venue will be able to accommodate approximately 350 people.
